My Toddler this Week: Adventures in Walking

At 12 Months and 3 weeks, Mason is building more and more confidence everyday, and is getting so good at walking on his own. we try to encourage him by giving him lots of opportunities to move without help and by not picking him up and carrying him too often, so far the plan is working.

Nowadays, he doesnt want to be held nor want to hold my hand while walking, he just want to do it on his own and I can't help but be proud with my little Angel.

Pictures and Videos will be inserted here, once I get the chance to edit most of them.

Pregnancy Week: 19th Week - Our favorite womb-hijacker

Only 21 more weeks to go!!!
I suddenly have a huge Baby and Tummy!! of course! this week everything changes instantly, I can no longer eat at lunch time since doing so will let me throw up. I feel nauseous and tired most of the time. So instead of spending most of the time outside playing with Mason, I spend my week laying in bed resting.

Good thing we get to go outside for awhile to catch up some sun and some bonding time. below are the pictures.
My adorable baby is already working on their first not-so adorable poop! As he drink & digest amniotic fluid, the solid bits will accumulate in their "large" intestines as a tar-like substance (aka meconium), which will become their historical first post-birth poop in a depressingly long line of poopy diapers.

Pregnancy Week: 17th Week. Our magical-gro baby

One of the most anticipated moments in pregnancy is the "quickening" or the first time you undeniably feel your child move inside of you.Yesterday, When Dada was trying to talk to Maddox he feel someone kick him. Oh yes, baby#2 is quiet a kicker.

and while Dada tries to hear it one more time, Mason pat my tummy like it was a drum. what?! that hurts, buts it's OK cause he doesn't really have much clue on what was happening let alone know that there inside my tummy is his little brother Maddox.

I am now on my 17 weeks.and this week our little one weighs in at around 5 ounces and stretches to just over 5 inches (crown to rump). He is about the size of a red onion.

Milestone: Mason's First professional Haircut

I am dreading to cut Mason's hair for the longest time because it is messy and all over the place.
Me and Dada plan to take Mason to a kid's salon where there are professional stylist trained to make sure that the baby is safe while the hair is being cut.

and the day came and we surrendered Mason's ever-growing hair to a pro.

as you can see, it went really well.

Milestone: Mason's First Walk

It's official, my baby Mason is a walker!

Mason is changing into a little boy.  He is getting so much more strong willed & independent & with this new found independence comes a new found determination to do things his way.  Or maybe it's just a newfound determination to do things.

a day after his 1st Birthday party, Mason can walk by himself, like 5,6,10 steps by himself. (thanks to Mita's gift - a high cut rubber shoes) we found Mason walking like crazy.

In the last year Mason has gone from sleeping, crying and eating, to laughing, talking, and now walking! He is a social butterfly and barely resembles the wrinkled newborn we brought home. I'm happy that he has grown up so much. I had no idea being a parent would be this awesome.  I had no idea that watching Mason learn things & laugh & have fun & grow & explore would bring me such a crazy amount of happiness.  Like actual, physical, i-can-feel-it-in-my-gut happiness.

Pregnancy Week: 16th Week. Wee Womb-Tenant

IT'S A BOY! again.. great! they can share almost everything...  we are so happy we already named him Maddox Riley.

My 4 inch bald gymnast-baby is super-mobile inside my womb as their organ systems are kicking it into high gear - particularly, their amazing tiny heart and complex circulation system, which is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood per day, and will be pumping up to 200 quarts per day at birth!

Went to Dr. Chandra yesterday for monthly check up and did ultrasound to check on my little fella's development. Whoops, forgot to tell you that I already felt my baby moving, kicking and doing sommersaults.

My four inch break dancer is now capable of making all sorts of interesting facial expressions, which include squinting, frowning, and grimacing

Meeting old Friends

It feels very Nostalgic. Today, I meet up with my College Friend Ella and her daughter here in Singapore, of all places right?

Good thing, me and Dada decided to drop by to the Hotel where they are staying cause apparently Ella is quite scared of Singapore. I miss Philippines because I miss my friends, other than that I think I'm good staying on a foreign land.

It was nice seeing Ella, her daughter {Trisha} is so darn cute. I hope someday I can have a baby girl of my own so I can pick earrings for her too.

Happy 30th Birthday luvah-boy

Dada is no small part in my life. he's kind of a big deal. he's my best friend, he's my partner, he's my equal. he's my baby-daddy.

and I'm not just saying this stuff to sound cool. i mean it when i say that when i met Nino, it was like meeting someone who absolutely matched me & equaled me & fit me in every single way. we clicked. it wasn't hard, it wasn't awkward, it was meant to be.

This is our 5th year of birthday-celebrating together & i love how the years are just flying by. i love our history together, all the things we've done, all the places we've been, & all the things we've been through. And although we became parents to Mason & are totally legit adults, it doesn't feel like we've aged a day.

Dada I love you, you are my everything. I hope I can always keep you inspired, put a smile on your face and always make you feel loved.

Thank you for being the best Dada me and Mason could possible have. You are the best and you are our Hero. Happy 30 Dada. more Birthday's to come.
